  • [on my twenty-first year.]

So far, I have to say, it's been pretty awesome. Granted, I just turned twenty-one on Tuesday... But my birthday was incredibly fun - I got to see my best friend and her boyfriend on their way back to Indiana for college, I watched the episode of Gilmore Girls where Rory has 2 birthday parties (haha), I took a nap (which was incredibly necessary thanks to cleaning until 3am the night before and getting up at 6am the morning of my birthday), went out to dinner with one of my best friends, Tiffany, who bought me my first margarita (it was strawberry, and really good) and witnessed me having to climb up on the saddle thing at Texas Roadhouse, came home & hung out with my family, got taken out for ice cream by my daddy, watched the new episode of Memphis Beat (♥), and went to bed feeling super loved.

This week has been insane cleaning and yardwork and organization because of tomorrow night's party. All of which are good things because it's all been necessary, but tomorrow gave us a time frame/goal.

But the best thing? I got a call on Thursday afternoon around 2:30 -- I am officially employed! :] I'm a teacher's assistant in the two-year-old room at a place called New Beginnings (so weird and appropriate). The hours are awesome, the pay is good, and I'll be working with babies! I can't wait to start next month.

It's just been an incredibly good week.

I'm ready to have more of those.

(Oh, and an added mini-bonus for my nerd self? The Valve store [makers of Left 4 Dead & L4D2, my favorite video games ever] is having a sale just this week - starting on my birthday and going until next Tuesday. I love my LIFE!)
